How far can you go?

Do you ever wonder why risking scares us? I am not talking about the daredevil, extreme sports kind of risking, but the ordinary everyday risk.Risking to smile at the homeless person you pass. The risk in stopping and assist a stranded driver at the side of the road, or to (gasp!) pick up a hitchhiker.Everyday risks that can lead us on a path to understanding and compassion of others. Are we fearful of failure, rejection or involvement? Opening ourselves to the possibility being more, giving more and receiving more.

We are coming to the end of the month of March, where risk taking has been our practice theme. Did this focus bring up anything in you on or off the mat?

This last week of March, our yoga classes look like this:

Monday Nite 6:30-8pm, Hatha yoga, general practice, all levels

Thursday Chair Yoga Workshop # 3, 3-4pm, with focus on learning the energization exercises

Thursday Evening 5-6:15 pm Hatha yoga, general practice, all levels

As always, we meet at The UU Church of Fresno on Alluvial. Bring your intention to step out of your everyday life to take a pause, a breath and dare to risk time for yourself!
