The care and feeding of our backs: One of your physical flaws?

Most adults experience back pain at one time in their life. Most of us more than once, and a repeat performance is not something we look forward to. While it is unlikely that we can completely avoid back pain all our lives, a consistent yoga practice can be part of a plan to minimize this unwanted intruder. At about age 25, our SI joint begins to fixate and there we have the beginnings of our life long challenge to avoid pain and disability.
On Monday Sept. 30, we will have a practice that has been studied by Western Medicine studies, replicated three times and shows major improvement for those with chronic back pain. The 17 poses of this practice gently stretch and strengthen the back in a therapeutic way. Come join us to learn or re-learn this practice. Handout will be provided. We meet from 6:30-8:00 pm at the UU Church of Fresno.
