Yin: A practice for inward reflection

Every month, we devote one practice to Yin Yoga. It is not a physically demanding practice for most, but it can be a difficult learning for how to settle the mind. In Yin yoga, poses are held for longer periods, which allows the body to stretch in ways a yang practice does not. During the time in the pose, there can be tension in both the body and the mind. Yin provides the time to settle down the mind, focus on the breath and let go of tension or strain.
