Monday Nite Football vs. Monday Nite Yoga. Your Choice!

Sarayu Yoga joyfully offers you the opportunity to fill your Monday evenings with movement and relaxation. Beginning Monday February 1,2010 6:30-8pm, join our yoga class! Class will be held in Room #3 at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Fresno, 2672 E. Alluvial Ave., Clovis, California 93611.
This class is designed for beginners, but can accommodate experienced yogis. The style taught is Ananda Yoga, which is a form of Hatha yoga (www.anandayoga.org for more information). Ananda yoga focuses on effort in the midst of relaxation as the participant encourages the flow of energy into and up their spine. This can be both invigorating and restorative. Ananda yoga is gentle and slow.
If you have one, bring a yoga mat, blanket, and strap. We will provide these if you don’t have them. Wear comfortable loose clothing. Try not to eat a meal two hours before class. A small snack prior to class is advisable. Come a few minutes early for your first class to fill out a health questionnaire and a release form.
This class is donation only. The donations will go to the UU Church of Fresno, Building Fund.
Come join us and see what yoga is all about! For questions or concerns, contact sarayuyoga@gmail.com

“Yoga is not a system of beliefs. It takes into account the influence of each other of the body and mind, and brings them into neutral harmony. So often, the energy in the body is weakened because the will is dispirited or paralyzed by harmful emotions.
Yoga works primarily with the energy in the body, to still the mind and attain higher states of awareness.” -Paramhansa Yogananda
